Today we’re celebrating the 4th anniversary of Meredith Morgan and Dr. Samuel Kaffenberger! This lovely couple had a beautiful fall wedding at St. Augustine’s Chapel on Vanderbilt University’s campus.
Meredith and Samuel planned their wedding from New York City, wishing to return to the city where they met and fell in love while furthering their education.
The mother of the bride reached out to Locklane requesting help coordinating the day that the couple had planned from afar. We love working with destination brides, whether they are drawn to our popular city, or because they have memories here; we’re always excited to create the lasting memories of a wedding.
Happy anniversary to Sam and Meredith! I hope you enjoy a look back at their beautiful, timeless wedding captured by Amber Beckham Photography.
Before the ceremony, Meredith and Sam chose to do a first look and portraits at Percy Warner Park.
Rosemary and Finch mirrored the monogram from the invitations and programs with a wreath over the altar.
The mother of the groom made an ivory keepsake quilted wall hanging for the bride and groom. It was displayed at the sign-in table at the ceremony.
The attendees received a special treat when Sam played Pachelbel’s Canon in D on the piano as the grandparents and mothers were escorted in.
Dinner was served family style under the stars and strings of light in the backyard of a restaurant in East Nashville. There was a traditional cutting of a “naked” cake from Painted Cupcake, followed by dancing and s’mores around the campfire.
