Timeless
adjective
not affected by the passage of time or changes in fashion.
When faced with the question of what their wedding style is, brides are often at a loss for where to begin or have yet to consider the design they want. Choosing a timeless base for your design is a great way to start, whether it is timeless to you or to wedding trends in general. For example, choosing to wed at a horse farm because you grew up around horses, or choosing a historic mansion with beautiful grounds.
New and updated styles, new technology, and new trends are all great elements to incorporate and embrace when fitting with your style, but those elements that are classic and enduring should also be embraced.
I dug into my archives for this blog, a shoot from 2014. Because of the timeless elements, I will continue to love it for years to come. I am lucky enough to still work with all of the vendors from this shoot. It really is amazing to come together on a creative project, as well as to serve a client.
While I typically love to work with an event stylist, this shoot I styled with my photographer, Alyssa Joy Photography. I am a bit obsessed with details and the focus was the color palette of teal, cranberry, silver, and white. The colors were pulled in from everything - the place cards, linen napkin, the bride's jewelry and shoes, the groom's suit and tie, the cake, calligraphy, etc. Some of the items are more trendy, like the teal tie, while others will endure, like the venue and the lace gown.
