Gilmore Girls Inspiration Featured On Style Me Pretty

If you're like me, you're counting down the days until the "Gilmore Girls" revival hits Netflix.

This summer, I bonded with Erin of Erin Lee Allender Photography over our shared love for "Gilmore Girls." 

I decided it would be fun to combine our friendship and fandom to collaborate on a style shoot before the show's revival. We got busy planning and dreaming, while I searched for the perfect venue that reminded me of the Dragonfly Inn. 

Three weeks ago, we found it! The Walker Inn in the adorable town of Bell Buckle, Tennessee, opened their doors and let a hoard of girls take over. Erin and I worked with a collection of other vendors to make our vision a reality.

Gather at the Table for Friendsgiving

Each year our friends come together for a Friendsgiving. I love that it extends Thanksgiving and allows us to come together. My friends are truly my family and I am so grateful for them. This year's celebration was particularly special as we have added more friends and more babies - including our little Ellery! 

Last year, Cottage Hill Magazine asked my friend Alyssa Joy Photography to plan and photograph a farm thanksgiving. The idea was essentially a friendsgiving, but with the food brought to the table by friends of neighboring farms. Lucky for me, Alyssa asked me to help out with this home-grown goodness! While my family is all about the casseroles this time of year, I still drool over these roasted carrots and kale salad! At the end of the day, it all goes back to the idea of gathering with our loved ones around the table.
